gtwitter - A linux Twitter client

gtwitter is a simple desktop client for Linux for direct interaction with Twitter. Once installed, it stays in the system tray and gets updates periodically.

Features :
  • Read friend's public timeline
  • Read overall public timeline
  • Post to Twitter directly
  • Refresh time can be set up manually
  • Images from friends timeline get cached up, thereby preventing slowing down
  • An icon for the notification area

On Ubuntu, the package can be installed easily using the Synaptic Package Manager. Search for gtwitter in the package manager, and install it.
