The application is extremely simple and very pleasing. The visualization pops the user into space and lets the user view geo-coded twits from around the world every 10 seconds. The graphics are very much appealing to the eye. Twittearth's 3D Engine is powered by PaperVision. Twittearth makes use of Yahoo! Local API's for its geo-localisation service.
Twittearth is a purely fun application. Users must be logged in with the Twitter username to make use of the facilities. The visual effects of the application move the globe around and land a cartoon figure on the location the user has designated. The location and the current activity may be updated to whatever the user requires. Twittearth provides you with a screensaver for download for Windows XP users. A screensaver for Mac OS X is on the cards.
